Our Annual Event was of course arranged long before the appalling Hamas terrorist onslaught on Israel changed our world. It was important that we went ahead and expressed our solidarity with Israel. We heard a brilliant analysis of the legal situation from Natasha Hausdorff of UK Lawyers for Israe,l and a highly informative account of the military situation from military analyst and former IDF soldier Elon Perry.
We were especially gratified to see so much cross-party support. Theresa Villiers MP (Con) was supporting us as always, but also no fewer than four Labour councillors. Cllr Tony Vorou was there in his role as Deputy Mayor of Barnet, but also Cllr Alison Moore, the former Mayor, as well as Cllrs Ammar Naqvi and Alan Schneiderman. Thanks to all of you for your support. And thanks to Sha’arei Tsedek North London Reform Synagogue for hosting the event.
