A great day out at the Palmers Green Festival. Thanks to all who helped with our stall, all who stopped to chat and take some literature, and all those new friends who signed up to our mailing list.
All set up and ready to go
The festival is buzzing now
Talking to the public
A great Sunday morning in Hampstead, putting Israel’s case to the local community. Thanks to all who came to help, to all who stopped to chat, and to all those who signed up to our mailing list. Always good to make new friends.
A new venture for us. We braved the rain to go door-knocking in East Finchley on behalf of North London Friends of Israel and We Believe in Israel. Well done to all who volunteered, and to We Believe in Israel for organising it. We were seeking signatures for a petition protesting at the Palestinian Authority’s payments to terrorists. To sign the petition, go here.
One of the ugliest features of the Israel-Palestine conflict is the cynical manipulation of young children by the Palestinian leaderships and armed militias, which is generally not highlighted in the Western media.
We feel it is of the utmost importance that as many people as possible are aware of the realities of what is actually happening on the ground.
Children are being killed or mutilated due to a campaign of indoctrination to commit acts of violence, are being used as human shields and are abused in building terror tunnels.
We urge you to read the attached document, which explains in detail the many situations in which children are subject to horrific practices and are deprived of their right to childhood, enshrined in international human rights law.
Child soldiers in the Middle East – report
This document has been sent to a number of prominent opinion-formers, and we are hoping to circulate it as widely as possible.
The counter-demo against Al Quds Day took place on Sunday. While some gathered in Whitehall to hear speeches and promote their support for Israel, others disrupted the haters’ march, significantly delaying it and leading it along its route with Israeli flags and songs!
Speakers included representatives of the Zionist Federation, the Board of Deputies, North London Friends of Israel and Sussex Friends of Israel. We were delighted to welcome Matthew Offord MP (Hendon) who pledged his support.
