RIBA (The Royal Institute of British Architects) has passed a motion calling for the suspension of the Israeli Association of United Architects (IAUA) from the International Union of Architects, saying it is complicit in the construction of illegal settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Here are some actions you can take.
Write to RIBA President Angela Brady at email@example.com expressing your concerns. Please don’t berate them – use reasoned arguments about why the boycott harms the peace process, is a one-sided intervention in a complex conflict, and represents a double standard as RIBA is not suggesting action should be taken against any other national architects’ association than Israel’s, even where there are far more egregious human rights issues.
